Fastest Route
Drive Interstate 95 North to Bangor. Exit to Interstate 395 at Exit 182A. Proceed on Interstate 395 to the end, and exit onto U.S. Route 1A to Ellsworth. Route 1A from Bangor connects directly with U.S. Route 1/SR (State Route) 3 North in Ellsworth.
Scenic Route
Drive Interstate 95/Maine Turnpike North to Augusta. Exit to the Augusta bypass and SR 3 at exit 113. Continue on SR 3 North to Belfast. At Belfast turn North onto U.S. 1/SR 3. This route takes you through Searsport and Bucksport on the way to Ellsworth.
Finally
Once in Ellsworth, proceed North to the Maine Coast Mall. At this point, Route 1 bears to the left, and SR 3 continues straight ahead to Bar Harbor. Take Route 1 North for approximately 18 miles to SR 186. Turn right onto Route 186, and proceed toward Winter Harbor for about a mile. We are located in the log home on the left about halfway up the hill.
